Field to Leadership Academy — Training Tomorrow’s Superintendents
Construction leadership education

Practical training for the people in the field

From working the job to leading the job.

We help tradespeople become construction leaders.

Knowing how to build a project and knowing how to lead one are two different skill sets. Field to Leadership is being built to help experienced construction professionals make that transition with practical superintendent training based on what actually happens on a jobsite.

The hard work is the starting point.

Field to Leadership is being built for the next responsibility.

The missing step

There’s a gap.

The skills that make someone an excellent tradesperson or foreman are not automatically the skills required to run an entire jobsite.

The traditional path in construction often moves from tradesperson to foreman and then to superintendent. A new superintendent can suddenly find themselves responsible for coordinating multiple trades, maintaining the schedule, managing safety, documenting the project, conducting meetings, communicating with project managers and owners, handling inspections, RFIs and change orders, and keeping the entire job moving.

There is plenty of construction education available, but superintendent-specific training is often harder to find. Field to Leadership is being developed to help fill that gap.

Virtual jobsite training

Don’t just learn about the job.
Walk through it.

Training is being designed around realistic virtual jobsite experiences — not only traditional slide presentations. See what to look for, why it matters, and what a superintendent should do next.

ABOUT FIELD TO LEADERSHIP
Field to Leadership Academy mark

BUILT TO FILL THE GAP BETWEEN FIELD EXPERIENCE AND LEADERSHIP.

Field to Leadership was created for experienced tradespeople who know construction but need practical training for the next step: leading the job.

Too often, a great tradesperson or foreman is promoted into a superintendent role and suddenly expected to manage schedules, subcontractors, safety, documentation, inspections, meetings and the day-to-day demands of an entire jobsite without structured training for the position.

That’s the gap Field to Leadership is being built to fill.

The training is practical, field-focused and built around the situations construction leaders actually face on the job. The goal is simple: give experienced people in the field the tools and knowledge they need to become capable, confident construction leaders.
